Frostbite book review

I've finally managed to write this review ....I hope you enjoy... :)

The "Frostbite by Richelle Mead" book review

Lissa Dragomir is a Moroi princess: a mortal vampire with a rare gift for harnessing the earth's magic. She must be protected at all times from Strigoi; the fiercest vampires - the ones who never die. The powerful blend of human and vampire blood that flows through Rose Hathaway, Lissa's best friend, makes her a dhampir. Rose is dedicated to a dangerous life of protecting Lissa from the Strigoi, who are hell-bent on making Lissa one of them.
Rose has serious guy trouble. Her gorgeous tutor, Dimitri, has his eye on someone else, her friend Mason has a huge crush on her, and she keeps getting stuck in her best friend Lissa's head while she's making out with her boyfriend, Christian.
Then a nearby Strigoi attack puts St. Vladimir's on high alert, and the Academy whisks its students away on a mandatory holiday ski trip. But the glittering winter landscape and posh Idaho resort only provide the illusion of safety. When three students run away to strike back against the deadly Strigoi, Rose must join forces with Christian to rescue them. Only this time, Rose - and her heart - are in more danger than she ever could have imagined...

What's with the covers????????? I'm sorry but these books have so much potential and so could the covers....ok never mind. So I managed to read the second book of the Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead. I don't know if this is a common thing, but I sometimes have troubles with liking the second book in a series. The third and fouth book are usually no problem but somehow the second book always is a challenge for me. I kind of did not  love this book. I liked it but ..yeah that's it. There were of course great parts. I mean we finally got to meet the mum of Rose and there were some major fangirl moments with #roska and #dragozera ....yes I got new ship names.... and the ending....was devastating.  Whyyyyy?...
It was also amazingly written and Rose was as badass as always but I wasn't feeling it. I'm angry at myself for not fully committing myself to that book. ...Ok, one more thing: Is anyone out there who also kind of ships Rose and Adrian? And is someone out there who kind of feels bad for Mia? Let me know in the comments.

I'm sorry if this review was rather short ....but if I'm not feeling a book..I can't really write a review that is longer than this. But I do hope you enjoyed this. See ya soon!

Maybe Someday book review

Hello my lovelies! I hope you will enjoy this review!

The "Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover" book review

She's a dedicated student with a steady job on the side. She lives with her best friend, has a great boyfriend, and the music coming from the balcony opposite hers is fast becoming the soundtrack to her life. But when Sydney finds out her boyfriend is cheating on her, the bubble bursts. The mysterious and attractive man behind the music, Ridge, gives Sydney hope that she can move on and they begin to write songs together. But moving on is harder than she expects, Sydney can only hope….
Maybe someday…
.............................................................................................................................................................................
I have finally managed to read a Colleen Hoover book. I have heard a lot about her and her amazing writing, but I just haven't had the chance to read one of her books. But now I have and I can see what everybody is talking about. This is not just a cutesie-romance story. This is so much more. And it kind of has a plot twist I didn't see coming
...................spoilers ........................................................................
So the girl Sydney that you have read about in the summary has no place to go after she finds out that her boyfriend is a total a -hole. So the boy Ridge let's her stay at his apartment. The tricky thing is, that Ridge is deaf. This was the "fascinating"part of the story. Ridge and Sydney are both talented in playing music. Ridge, however doesn't hear it, but he still writes amazing songs and plays the guitar.
..................................spoilers end.............................................................

Ridge and Sydney both start writing songs together and start to fall in love with each other. But Ridge has a girlfriend ....and he loves her. Is it possible to love to people at the same time?
Ok I'm sorry for the cliffhanger....but you seriously need to read this book if you haven't read it already. The storyline is amazing. It's not just... girl loves guy...guy loves girl...but they can't admit that they have feelings for each other....nooooo..this is some serious stuff. This is complicated. There are so many hidden things that you will discover the longer you read. Also the songs Sydney and Ridge write together are very real. You can check them out on Youtube. They are sung by Griffin Peterson. And let me tell you my friend....the songs are beautiful. They contain really meaningful messages and they are great to listen to. Why can't every romance book be like this one???????!!! Colleen is a great author and I'm so excited to read more books that she has written, in the future.

I hope you enjoyed this review. The review of Frostbite will probably be posted tomorrow. I'm sorry for keeping you waiting , but school is keeping me busy..sadly.  See ya soon my lovelies!

The Vampire Academy book review

This book is not on the TBR list of this month, but I can explain: I often go to the library, who am I kidding? I practically live there. So every time I went there I would look for the Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead. And every time I looked for it, most of the book were gone. So last week I finally got my hands on them! I was actually planning to read the Lux series by Jennifer L. Armentrout , but now I started reading this series....and I can't and won't stop. My TBR list keeps getting longer and longer. I have so many books I want to read but I can't read two or three books at the same time. And now especially being stuck in school again I won't be able to read as many books as I wanted to read. Enough whining around...let me present you my book review

The "Vampire Academy "book review by Richelle Mead

Lissa Dragomir is a Moroi princess: a mortal vampire with a rare gift for harnessing the earth's magic. She must be protected at all times from Strigoi; the fiercest vampires - the ones who never die. The powerful blend of human and vampire blood that flows through Rose Hathaway, Lissa's best friend, makes her a dhampir. Rose is dedicated to a dangerous life of protecting Lissa from the Strigoi, who are hell-bent on making Lissa one of them.
After two years of freedom, Rose and Lissa are caught and dragged back to St. Vladimir's Academy, a school for vampire royalty and their guardians-to-be, hidden in the deep forests of Montana. But inside the iron gates, life is even more fraught with danger . . . and the Strigoi are always close by.
Rose and Lissa must navigate their dangerous world, confront the temptations of forbidden love, and never once let their guard down, lest the evil undead make Lissa one of them forever . . .
................................................................................................................

Yes I have not read the series. I know I'm ashamed of myself, let's carry on. I actually first heard of this book series when I saw the movie adaptation of the first book. Great job Anna! Let's start with the covers. I'm sorry but I completly hate them. Every single book of this series has a face on it. And I don't like this face. I only read this book in public when I was sure that nobody could see the cover. One time on my bus-ride back home I forgot to cover it and an old lady noticed it and she looked at me like I was reading Fifty Shades of Grey in public. But never mind, you should never judge a book by its cover. Although I have spoiled myself with the movie, I enjoyed to "re-read" the story. And as always , the book was better than the movie. Although I kind of think that the actors of the movie definitely match to the characters in the book. The books are in the genre of young adult fiction. Many will say that it probably will be another vampire story with sparkling Edwards(no offence) but trust me:it will give you an entirely new perspective of the vampire world. Also there's this touch of humor that will make you fall in love with Rose , the protector of Lissa. She is so bad-ass and she has a great-sense of humor (even in situations, that seem to serious to laugh about) she's a rebel, but she would give her life to save Lissa. She seems to be way ahead of her time. Then there's Dimitri. He is seven years older than Rose is and he is her mentor. Rose and Dimitri soon discover their feelings for eachother. But they know they can never be together....This tore me apart....but I still ship them. Go Team Romitri and of course Lissa and Christian ....I love them so much. And I can't wait to read the rest of the series.

I hope you enjoyed the reviews of today. See ya next week my lovelies.

The Outsiders book review

Hello my lovelies ...I'm back at it again with the book reviews.......Did you get it? ;)  I have to stop trying. As you may or may not know I read the Mortal Instruments in the last two weeks. And as you may or may not know I always have a massive book hangover when I'm done with reading the series. So I thought: Maybe a short book of 93 pages will help me to mend my broken-heart. In the following review you will see why that did not work.

The "Outsiders" book review by S.E. Hinton

According to Ponyboy, there are two kinds of people in the world: greasers and socs. A soc (short for "social") has money, can get away with just about anything, and has an attitude longer than a limousine. A greaser, on the other hand, always lives on the outside and needs to watch his back. Ponyboy is a greaser, and he's always been proud of it, even willing to rumble against a gang of socs for the sake of his fellow greasers--until one terrible night when his friend Johnny kills a soc. The murder gets under Ponyboy's skin, causing his bifurcated world to crumble and teaching him that pain feels the same whether a soc or a greaser.
................................................................................................................
This book took my heart and threw it against a wall. That's what it felt like reading it. So let's start at the beginning: I never actually knew that this book existed( don't kill me). About a month ago I read the Starcrossed- duology by Leisa Rayven( I have reviews of the books) And in the story the main characters both have this favourite book: The Outsiders. So I thought that if they bind over this book, that it is a nice story to read. So I went to the library and I got that book. The second I came home, I started reading. It took me about 45 minutes to an hour to read it. So it was a quick read. And you normally think that a quick and short read, can't touch you (ok unless it was written by Shakespeare...he knows how to crush my soul). But this book was so deep and so touching. The main characters have pretty weird names. But I think I wouldn't have felt a connection with them if they had ordinary names. I loved the main character Ponyboy so much. It seemed like an old soul lived in the body of this boy. Also Ponyboy isn't an ordinary boy. He has suffered a tragic loss, but he still enjoys life. He loves reading <3 and he loves the greasers, which is a "gang" he is part of. When I read the book I kind of thought it was a bit similar to West Side Story and it even had elements of Romeo and Juliet in it but it of course was unique to read. I'm not going to spoil this book if you haven't read it by now, but there are so unexpected twists in it and you will learn what it means to be part of a group that is also your family and protects you of no matter what. There will be unexpected tragedies, friendship, love, moments of sorrow and moments of happiness and rivalry. This small book has a world hidden in its few pages that you don't want to leave.

The Mortal Instruments *spoilers appear*

This is a few days late..but school's been crazy so I  finished City of Heavenly Fire yesterday. I'm emotionally scarred, just as I thought I would be! Attention! This may include some spoilers

The Mortal Instruments

These books are about a girl called Clary who discovers, that she is everthing ,but ordinary. She is a Shadowhunter. Along with her friends and her "crush" , she tries to save her world and the Shadowhunter world from evil powers who try to destroy everything she ever loved. ( I tried to write this as spoiler-free as I could)
................................................................................................................

City of Bones: This is an amazing book. You meet all the characters and you slowly get introduced to the Shadowhunter world. This book keeps you so tied up...and then it crushes you...your soul ....the OTP you shipped so hard... and you can't believe it...you just can't ..that's why the second you finish this book you continue with the second one.

City of Ashes: This is my least favourite book. Not because I didn't like the story. I mean it's Cassandra Clare...who doesn't like her books?! I just think the book is brutal torture. I mean a lot of things happen : Clary discovers that she is special and is different from the rest of the Shadowhunters. Simon, Clarys best-friend is getting more involved in Clarys world than he anticipated , Malec is finally a thing...the Inquisator is a b****,Clary's Dad is not nominated for the world's best Dad award....but when you're finished with the book you still ship an incest OTP.

City of Glass: Now this book completly mindeffed me. It about the same style as the other books: Beginning: Everything is great, then suddenly something bad happens....the next 300 pages are a matter of life and death and the ending is nice but it doesn't satisfy you. First of all, Clary is so bad-ass. I love the way she always does what she wants. You get to meet a few new people like Sebastian Verlac, or Aline Penthallow.......Clary's mom may appear...You may start to ship Simon and Izzy or Simon and Maia. That's all pretty nice but let me tell you...there are mean plot.twists in it. Watch out! In the end everything is soooo beautiful and you finally can see your ship sailing without being arrested for having a relationship......Well everything seems to be fine....

City of Fallen Angels: This book kind of makes you want to wish that Clary and Jace are brother and sister again, because even then they had more passion and romance than in this book. Also Simon......naw..that's not okay...just because you're a vampire doesn't mean that you can have two girlfriends! Seriously......and you may think that you know Cassandra Clares writing style but let me tell you my friend , you're wrong because in the end there's the biggest plot-twist you have ever seen!

City of Lost Souls: Why? Why can't Clace be a happy couple...in the last book Jace was emotionally scarred and in this book he is his "brothers" bitch......;( Also you definitely start to ship Simon and Izzy...but seriously....I wanted to kick both Jace and Jonathan aka Sebastian..all the time. And then when you finally think, everything will be all right....Jace can't even touch Clary without electrocuting her..... and Malec ;( ....whyyyyyy?

City of Heavenly Fire: This book...it's just amazing. It's the grande-finale. It's the tip of the iceberg. Every 639 pages of it there's action. You laugh and you scream and you cry.Soooo much happens. You also get to see a few old characters of the Infernal Devices and you get to see a few new characters that you will see again if you read Lady Midnight. ( which I haven't....yet ) I don't want to spoil that much...because I already did ...in the entire review but let me say this much: The ending is exactly like it should be!

I love this entire series and I never get tired of reading it. I'm sorry if I spoiled a lot...but I warned you and I kind of think that I can't write a spoiler-free review because I have read these books to often. Cassandra Clare is an amazing author. Her books are so well-written and everything makes sense. You dive into this world and when the series ends you struggle with your real life because it's so hard to leave this world! I am recommending this series to everyone ! Read it! :) I hope you liked this review. See ya soon!

The Kiss of Deception review

Hello my lovelies! This will be the only review for today. This isn't the only book I've read this week. :) If you have read my recent blogposts about the books I have read or the books I'm going to read ,you might have noticed that I'm reading the Mortal Instruments....again. I don't know why I'm doing this...I mean clearly I will have the worst bookhangover when I'm finished with it and I have read it a few times by now, so I kind of know that it won't be funny. But I have recently purchased them, so I finally have them sitting on my bookshelf. Yes...shocker I didn't own the books. ;) but now I do! Btw, I will maybe do a review of  TMI but of the whole series. Ok this intro is far too long by now....so let's just start with the review ....enjoy!

The "Kiss of Deception by Mary E. Pearson" book review

A princess must find her place in a reborn world.
She flees on her wedding day.
She steals ancient documents from the Chancellor's secret collection.
She is pursued by bounty hunters sent by her own father.
She is Princess Lia, seventeen, First Daughter of the House of Morrighan.
The Kingdom of Morrighan is steeped in tradition and the stories of a bygone world, but some traditions Lia can't abide. Like having to marry someone she's never met to secure a political alliance.
Fed up and ready for a new life, Lia flees to a distant village on the morning of her wedding. She settles in among the common folk, intrigued when two mysterious and handsome strangers arrive—and unaware that one is the jilted prince and the other an assassin sent to kill her. Deceptions swirl and Lia finds herself on the brink of unlocking perilous secrets—secrets that may unravel her world—even as she feels herself falling in love.
................................................................................................................

This book was seriously so good! ....I kind of think that I always say that about the books I'm reviewing...well I mean it. It was not a quick read. But I seriously couldn't stop. It neither was an easy read, I have to admit that ,but I like it when books can challenge me. First of all the storyline is amazing. There's a mixture of fantasy, history, mystery and romance and all that together makes such a good book. Also I experienced the biggest plot twist I have ever read about...I completly went bananas. I started screaming and my sibling thought I'm dying of a heart-attack or something. And the plot twist is pretty much at the end, so you don't see it coming at all. So as you may have read in the description: Princess Lia runs away on her wedding day and flees to a village. There she starts an ordinary life as a normal girl and not the princess of the most powerful kingdom in the country. This is why she is one of my favourite characters: Although she is used to a more luxurious life she still works hard to start a new life that is 100% different from the life she has lived before. Also not to spoil you....but there will be a love triangle...again. But this love triangle doesn't annoy me or makes me want to scream at Lia for it. The book is so well written that I seriously don't have anything bad to say about it. I congratulate the author for leaving me speechless many times. Bravo!

I hope you enjoyed this review! Tell me in the comments if you have read this book and if you did, if you also got blown away by a hidden plot twist!
